About
I met and married my brilliant husband in the ’80s (Can you tell by the photo?). We live at the end of a lane on the edge of the woods in a century-old house in the American Midwest. We share our lives with never enough pets and we grow dueling riotous, rambling gardens. Most of the things in our gardens are edible… but some are most definitely not, due to my morbid fascination with poisonous plants and their lore.
We have three adult children living wild adventures of their own, but who also show up on demand with scrumptious grandbabies to nibble on.
Our home is not really whole without a dog or two, a cat or two, and a myriad of other creatures. These two goofy hounds, Garth and Winnie, are rescues we adopted from our local shelter in 2024. They fill our hearts and home with busy, joyful chaos, and they keep me company while I write.
